Our client are a small animal hospital looking for a Head Nurse to join their team. They are located in a thriving city with many outdoor leisure opportunities close at hand, and a thriving university, a city offering the best of everything.
The hospital is purpose built with modern equipment and you will be part of supporting a team of 9 Vet Surgeons. As the Qualified Head Nurse (HN) you will you will lead the Pet hospital nursing team, providing a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet well being and supporting Veterinary Surgeons to deliver preventive services and to treat sick and injured pets of eligible clients.
You will line manage the Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Care Assistant teams and will lead and develop your team to efficiently manage the day-to-day workflow through the hospital. You will be responsible for stock control, hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment and will support the Senior Veterinary Surgeon in managing income and expenditure at Pet hospital level making sure that resources are used in a cost effective manner.
The position will be full time - 37.5 hours per week and will include working on a shared OOH rota. They are offering a generous salary of £24,662 - £25,571 per annum and this will be a great position to gain experience within a busy hospital environment.
