A small animal practice based in Northampton have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their excellent Medical Team as a Medical Referral Veterinary Surgeon, on either a full time or part time basis.
This is an established newly refurbished, purpose-built hospital where the workload will involve a mixture of first opinion and referral initially, with a view to transition into full time referral work once the caseload is built.
The ideal candidate will have completed a CertAVP (or equivalent), passed their synoptic examination in Small Animal Medicine, and be eligible for, or hold, an Advanced Practitioner status. Previous experience in a referral environment and caseload is desirable, but not essential. Experience in abdominal ultrasonography with biopsy and FNA under US guidance is also preferable.
• The role is envisaged as full time, but part time hours may be considered for the right candidate
• No OOH (they have a dedicated, on site night team)

You will be covering all first opinion vet duties where required and have experience in all basic surgery and diagnostics with very good consulting skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years post graduate experience.
